About rajintalksalot
about the archive
I started rajintalksalot on Instagram because it was the easiest place to put thoughts into motion: image, caption, post, move on. Also because I really fucking talk a lot. But at some point, the format didn't cut it for what I wanted the pieces to do.
I didn't just want a blog that listed posts. I wanted the interface to matter too. The scrolling, the stacks, the pauses, the glows, all that fancy UI/UX bullshit, sure, but really it was simpler than that: I wanted the site to feel like the work itself.
Instagram is great for momentum, but terrible at letting a post breathe. So I went to the drawing board and built what I wanted myself. Same feeling, same visual-first instinct, but less feed, more exhibition.
Media Dives is where I overthink films, shows, albums, paintings, and anything else that refuses to leave my head. Not Gatekeeping is for things worth passing on. ByteLine is for tools, stacks, tech, and projects. From the Vault is for my own work (coming soon, probably). Monologue is exactly what it sounds like.
And then there are the monthly In Words posts: little recaps of what I've been into, what stuck, what changed the mood, and what somehow became important for no obvious reason. The site keeps the beat of the original posts, but gives the words and images room to do their thing.
I post whatever I want, whenever I feel like it. I don't follow any schedule. Hope you find stuff you like.
